Subject: La Traviata

Like the rest of the class, I had never seen an opera before. I hadn't even really heard opera music, just bits of it. I was extremely impressed by La Traviata. The talent involved and the sets really amazed me. I couldn't believe that someone's voice could hit all of those different notes in such a way; it was definitely something I had never heard before and I liked it alot. The "drinking song" was in my head ALL DAY on Friday; I just couldn't get it out. Having opera music stuck in my head kind of suprised me. I am really looking forward to seeing the next opera. I am hoping that it's something really upbeat because that would make the experience just that much better. The Motzart one appeals to me; I hope that can be worked out.
