I dont know if my engine broke in at the same time or if it was the K&N, but as soon as i installed it (2100mi) I was getting 17mpg instead of 15ish. However I did install the cone type, not the flat one. I had to give K&N the measurements and they picked one that would slide over the intake. I just removed the whole top of the air box, I guess I dont need to do the hole in the air box or the headlight mod.
