I removed the adapter from the LH exhaust manifold (where the tube connects) , with a 1" wrench, accessed through the fenderwell. From the bottom side, tapped it with a 1/4" pipe tap, screwed in a recessed hex head steel pipe plug, then drilled a 1/8" hole through it.
I've heard several reasons why it won't work (balloon effect, too far from the valve, etc)
It has reduced the temp of the tube across the top, I have less carbon build up, and smoothed out the test surge.
I've been running it for two months now, and it has been working for me , no SES lights.
Keep in mind that I do not have to pass an emissions test here.
