I thought that the spring pack bolt fitting in the axle mount hole centered the axle, fore / aft and the mounts, shackles and spring packs center it side to side . Are you sure they didn't just forget to install one of your wheel spacers? ;) Let us know what you find out :) P.S. the Helms manual shows the frame rails parallel from the back of the cab to behind the rear wheels (512) .
