I think that number means All S10s made from that plant(normally the VIN includes where it was made), and since the VIN is year related, it should only be for 2001 as well.

My VIN is in the 200k already for 2002 with a april2002 build date I think.

I noticed my local dealer website states they have 2003 s10s and I noticed the VIN is different for them so it appears the 2002 run was much less than normal.

Chevy did have big plans for the Crew but it came out too late and did not have the appeal they wanted. I see many more crews(all makes) now a days so the trend is catching on. I've seen about 4 s10 crews so far but see many Nissan and even more Durangos. I like the bigger Durango but not a Dodge fan. I'm interested in the new colorado but I like the s10 crew so much, don't know if I could sell it now. :)
