Oh my, I'd love the 72, but mine was a 76 RS. I loved it and would do it again in a heart beat!


And regarding the MSD box, I know maybe I didn't need it, but, and I do say BUT, ..... after all the mods I've done, it really did make a difference in smoothing the power bands off. Before it made power at lets just say 2000rpm then 4000rpm then 5000rpm.... kinda serges through the entire rpm range., When I installed the MSD it smoothed everthing right out, and pulled hard and smooth through the entire RPM range. I personally felt it was a good mod for my truck. But I do agree with you on the fact that it Didnt NEED it. GM's HEI is good.
