Hi ES! I'm sure youve heard by now but in case you haven't Ted passed away a few yrs ago ;>( They used to call Segovia "The Guitar" and thats how I felt about Ted!! I'm pretty sure that there wasn't anyone on the face of the Earth (Steve Vai agrees!)that knew or understood the guitars theory quite as well as Ted Greene! He wasn't just super intelligent but I think it was his high level of enthusiasm for the instrument that made him so great! Not that he wasn't a great guitarist but I'm sure his forte was his deep knowledge of guitar chords and voicings all up and down the neck with much emphisis on his books and his great ability to explain how music and chord construction really works and had this gift to be able to convey all of this complex information and simplify it to the point to where your average Joe could get a grasp on it! But still, anyone who's takin the guitar seriously, it will always take practice, practice and even more practice! We're all missin Ted! John @ johnlovintunes@gmail.com
