First off, boyo, my attack was not an auto-hit. I was at such close range that its success was inevitable. I gave you all the oppurtunity in the world to challenge my being so close to you, even giving you a chance to refute my assassin touching your very head. You made no objections. The fact that you were unaware of my character's true intentions is moot. When he was so close, Cowpoke could not have missed, but as you'll notice, I said "Plunges the knife at his head", not "Plunges the knife into his head".

Second-off, Cowpoke was right up close to you, and with a nerve toxin in you, you'd be flopping around like a fish before you died. What are the odds you could even draw your sword? You also neglected to give my character a chance to stop the drawing of your sword, which he could have easily done, given his proximity and the state of your character.

Third of all, here's a challenge for you: Using little or no strength, as if you were poisoned and close to death, hug someone and try to "stab" them with a meterstick. At such close range, getting a good angle is practically impossible, and if you can get one, it's even more difficult to get sufficient momentum or leverage to do any damage. My character lives: Yours dies. Some days you're the pidgeon, and some days you're the statue.

As much as you think my character's treacherous (but toally RP legit) manners merit your being able to cheat the rules, and as much as you think your character should get to kill mine as some sort of twisted "last wish", it would be impossible without autoing. You may go on to argue that I autoed you, but please! I gave you every oppurtunity to save your character. Look at it in perspective: In the midst of an assassinating spree you answered to a total stranger, went into a private room with him without even knowing his name, allowed him to not only come near you, but to touch you, and when he executes a move whose success is inevitable because of the range and manner of weaponry, you commit an auto simply to avenge your character.

The rules do not bend for the dead and the dying. Accept reality.
