Jim,

In regards to your comments about faking... Although most situations when these tactics are implemented are when you are engaged, have you experimented with them outside of the battle grounds? I can recall one example that got me interested in non-verbal and the power they posses over the mind in which I was not trying to use them and the individual reacted strangely as though I had complete control over their mind and body. It was almost like pulling them into th void. I find non-verbal useful, for example, in moving people from one side of a room to another or having them move out of my pathway. I remember training in non-verbal last year. We covered several different concepts which included controlling a fight by lowering the voice and using downward motions to ease the body.

My question: Are faking and these non-verbal techniques one in the same? They seem to have the same outcome in setting the opponent up and most importantly manipulating the environment. If they aren't one in the same, they seem to be complementary and could possible be integrated together to obtain absolute awareness from pre-game events to the actual engagement, wouldn't you say?

Also, excellent comments relating to experimenting with differnt types creativity and discoveries. I find that when you start to look at all actions or thoughts the body makes in a conceptal way, you seem to master (control) your own body, which in turn allows you to progress even further with your training.

Best,
Mike
