Subject: CHARLES MANSON WAS RIGHT!!!

Charles Manson began warning us at least 35 years ago regarding environmental disasters spearheaded by corporate greed and AmeriKKKans' indifference to and participation in that greed. His ATWA (Air Trees Water Animals) slogan became a rallying cry for thinking people around the globe. I must admit that I wasn't aware of those unpleasant realities then, and it took many more years for them to begin to make an impression on me.

Two decades ago I saw a brown haze below me as I drove into the Rockies just west of Denver. I felt sad as I realized why my eyes had been burning. It was my first queasy vision of humanity's future. Today the formerly empty foothills are filled with cookie-cutter homes, and the haze is getting worse.

The Bush/Gore 2000 election fiasco is another revelation of human ugliness. When I read how many previous Presidential elections were stolen -- at least 4 -- and combine that knowledge with my personal experience of sleazy politics in corporations and all levels of government, I realize that the AmeriKKKan "dream" is mostly a cruel illusion. I often get that familiar queasiness that comes from knowing the grim future awaiting us. Is there a hidden "Wizard of Oz" controlling that future, or are we to blame?

Regardless of who's responsible, the sad truth is that we've exported our vicious system of $$$, corruption and pollution to the whole world. One example: a recent article about how Ireland has turned into an ugly place with litter everywhere. Almost no one recycles, and there really is no waste disposal program. I've heard that same story from recent visitors to Ireland, so I know it's true.

I've also heard how New Zealand is like Ireland was 30 years ago, but without the poverty. New Zealand offers clean, inexpensive living, and they adore AmeriKKKans. You can live well on about $35,000 New Zealand dollars (kiwis), which is less than $15,000 AmeriKKKan dollars. There's a shitload of Internet sites about moving to New Zealand, so lots of beleaguered AmeriKKKans must have the same thoughts that I do.

AmeriKKKan city dwellers are so cold and venal. You can tell that they're not happy, but they plod drearily from day to day and try not to think of the dismal future. The brainwashing is truly awesome -- people no more aware of underlying realities than Pavlov's dogs. The malaise has spread to the smallest towns, cluttered from coast to coast with McDonald's and Walmart stores. There's got to be a better way, but it's certainly not the AmeriKKKan way. The change must come soon, since there are only a few idyllic places like New Zealand left.

Disease is already common as new viruses emerge from plundered rain forests, and as the World Bank forces health budget cuts for immunizations and other basic needs in Third World countries. The USA is not far behind as its leaders export AmeriKKKan jobs in a futile attempt to prop up a One-World economy.

The rancid frosting on the rotten AmeriKKKan cake is the squalid swarms of bible thumpers, who maliciously attack anyone and anything outside the narrow norms of their "white bread" world. They also steal anything that isn't nailed down (and lots that is!) and pollute what's left.

Want a graphic vision of the future? Take a look at the 70's movie "Soylent Green" starring Charlton Heston and Edward G. Robinson. It shows a New York City of wrecked machinery after the oil runs out, a permanent polluted haze, and awesomely Orwellian repression as the panicked "privileged few" scramble desperately to hold on to what they have.

Is there any hope? I doubt it. So why bother. My last cholesterol test was well beyond the normal limit, even with the help of medication. But I'm having a good time, which is what matters. The pizza and wings last night were a super dinner, topped off with apple pie buried in whipped cream. I also loved yesterday's lunch of Burger King fries and a Whopper with cheese. My snack last night was a big bowl of Bugles, loaded with salt, and washed down with several ice-cold cans of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. Yummmmm...

Breakfast this morning will be scrambled eggs, sausages and a couple of English muffins slathered with butter, all washed down with many cups of hot coffee. Yummmmmmmmm...and much more to come.

I'll be dead soon, but you'll still be here to try to deal with the mess.
