Subject: Flashing O/D light

-- I have a '93 Ford Probe 2.0 and my O/D light is flashing. I am getting terrible gas milage now and the RPMs are way above where they should be at various speeds. The shifting is also rough. I also have lots of vibrating/shaking when the car is stopped in Drive. I have heard that it might be that the "speed sensor" needs replacing. Does anyone have an opinion on what the prob might be? Is this "speed sensor" something a professional tranny mech needs to do or a do it yourself ordeal? Ballpark, how much does the part usually run or how much for part & labor if mech is required? Any replies will be greatly appreciated.
