Subject: Mr. Fix-it

I had a customer come in the other day with a well typed letter about what he and done to fix his car. There were 2 complaints on his 1992 Town Car. #1 When stopping at a light the engine will run ruff and sometimes stall.
Parts replaced by the customer in the last 3 weeks:
fuel pump relay, eec power relay, fuel filter, spark plugs, new plug wires, both coil packs, mass air flow sensor, air charge sensor, purge valve, vapor canister and throttle position sensor.
On his second complaint the A/C would stop blowing cold after the car warmed up.
Parts replaced:
A/C control assembly, cycling switch, WOT relay, Accumulator and orifice with no success.
The customer told me he had spent about $1000.00 trying to fix these problems and that his wife made him bring it to the shop to get fixed.
Have you Guessed the fix for both these problems?
The first fix was a $6.00 tee for the PCV system leaking vacume and to add insult to injury the second problem on the A/C System was the clutch gap was too wide causing it not to enguage when hot.
I just wish I could have been there when he told his wife.
