A smile crossed his lips slowly as he went to the door, cocking his head to the side as he opened it and revealed her beautiful form to him. • Her eyes were affectionate as she shifted to face him, fingers absently smoothing his shirt and then just twisting into the soft fabric, head tipped back a little as she gazed up at him. Her tone was sweet but there was an honest seriousness to her words - she knew that he would think she looked good if she was wearing a potatoe sack, but she just always wanted to look extra special for him. He deserved it. At his next words though, a soft breath slipped from her lips and her hands raised to cup his face as she reached up to press a warm, lingering kiss to his lips. Her heart jumped, she was sure of it, and for a moment all the air left her lungs - that wasn't the first time a guy had said the words to her, but it was the first time she had truly believed them, and was the first time she could honestly reciprocate. • She, not surprisingly, wasn't doing much either - just lounging around with her puppies. There was some inspiration made-for-TV movie on and it was raining out, and she was in the mood for the cheesey story line and poor acting. At the ringing, she turned just her head to watch the phone for a few moments, before sighing lazily and shifting up onto one elbow to reach over Rogue for it, tone soft and sleepy - not that she was at all - when she answered. • She had been pleasantly surprised by the invite - it had never really occurred to her that he too had a home, and so had never been suspicious, or even really curious, until now. Curious that was now - not suspicious. He hadn't said anything about dressing up, so she too was going for her typical casual look - faded denims fit to her hips and a thin soft pink long-sleeved tee to her torso.
