I have a 2002 accord EX (110,000 miles) automatic when I started to work this morning D4 light started flashing and check engine light came on. When I stopped at a red light car would not accelerate almost like it was stuck in 4th gear, I had to manually pull it into 1st to take off. The car would only manually shift but could tell no change from 1st to 2 and then no 3rd straight to 4th. I pulled the car over and turned the ignition off and the D4 light reset and the car shifted normal for the rest of the day, this happened 2 days in a row. I took the car to a friend of mine and he checked the codes the codes were 730 and 780 (whatever that means) he thinks the transmission is shot. I wonder why the car works perfectly after I turn the ignition off and then back on. Could this be the transmission or Computer ? Please help!
