I agree with you Glory, I was never a big Angel fan. But Angel (and the actor, DB) have grown since going off on their own. I like his comedic acting abilities. And we never saw that on Buffy. He was always Mr. Moody-Broody.

I think the beginning was done over-the-top just to give it that surreal, dream-like quality. And OMG what dreams (or nightmares) Angel had while swimming with the fishes.

Fred/Gunn, yep too syrupy-sweet. But, we know that means it won't last long, so I can bear it.

Lilah's always been interesting to me. She's a conundrum. I never know if she is truly evil and cold, or if there is a heart of gold underneath it all. Time will tell.

All-in-all, looking forward to more eps!

Goddamn it, this is yet another reason why I hate pro sports: for the second week in a row, a fucking pro sports game had pre-empted Firefly! Grrrr! last week it was a football game and last night it was a baseball game--Churchy's beloved Minnesota Twins, in fact. Not that I gave a shit in the least, so it doesn't change things for me. Phae, you have to bring me up to speed on Firefly the next time we talk.

I hope they do something cool with Lilah. She does have potential. I like how they've made her pretty unlikable yet I can't help rooting for her sometimes. She's a scrapper, and I like that.
