Subject: Maggies

Remember last year, about this time when the wire ran hot over magpie attacks, well they're at it again. Today it was the Moonshine Maggie that attacked me. Looking down at my shadow beside me I saw the shadow of a Maggie just above my helmet trying to keep up.So it looks like I'll have to paint a pair of eyes on the top of my helmet. There could be some extra fast times at this weekends races if the Maymorne Maggie is waiting for us. Then there is the Makara Maggie to be aware of as well. It could be the maggienificent weather we are having.

The ratbags are up around the nationals course too - I got buzzed by one 3 weeks ago between Colyton and Ashhurst.

They really catch you by surprise coasting silently over your head - its just the shadow that gives them away.
