You BETTER stay around and debate this one:
Most of the Bush haters on this forum probably agree that he didn't steal the election, but you will NEVER see them defend him, even when he was in the right, simply because bashing him and destroying his legitimacy, is more important than the truth. It doesn't fit their agenda.

First of all, I am NOT a Bush hater.

Second, when Bush is right, I've admitted it. Although, I really can't remember the last time that he was. LOL

Third, I will never NEVER ignore or discount a legitimate argument or principle. That's been my biggest beef with Bush--I can't even tell where his principles are!

Pro-life? Nope--he's increased spending to Planned Parenthood at a greater rate than did Clinton. His highest level cabinet members are all pro-abort.

Gay agenda? Sorry--he's appointed gay activists to some very sensitive posts, not the least of which was ambassador to the ardently Catholic Romania. Talk about a slap in the face to the moral sensitivities of that country. What a great way to foster diplomatic understanding.

Spending? Bush has yet to veto a single spending bill.

Immigration? Well, now he wants to give amnesty Round 3 to everyone AND give automatic worker visas to ANY foreigner that has a job offer in the US.

Small government? Can you say No Child Left Behind? How about Soc Sec Prescription Program? Or Faith Based Initiatives? Can you even name one program Bush has cut?

Taxes? OK, I'll give him a half a point there--he did give tax cuts. Big whoop--they were accompanied by the largest non-military spending increases in ages. I hardly think Tax Cut and Enslave our Grandchildren agenda is any more moral (or economically sound) thant the Dem's Tax and Spend.

Now, Joe, I asked you down below, in another thread: You'd alluded to some dissatisfaction with Bush. I'm glad to see you no longer think him the saint you once did. But, please, fill me in--what was it exactly that you found dissillusioning.
