Here's a few lines I got a kick out of:

"Some Democratic leaders seem to believe that blind opposition to the new strategy in Iraq is good politics," Cheney told reporters at the Capitol after attending the weekly Republican policy lunch. "Senator Reid himself has said that the war in Iraq will bring his party more seats in the next election."

"It is cynical to declare that the war is lost because you believe it gives you political advantage," Cheney said.

Reid is right. The war will bring his party more seats but unlike Cheney says, it won't have anything to do with us "losing" the war. We are already in a no-win situation. Bush has so profoundly botched this war that he and anyone who stands with him are going to be on political thin ice. Americans in general don't want us over there. It was wrong from the onset and many are catching on to it. The war will be a line in the sand and it won't have anything to do with winning or losing. And the people are already standing on their respective sides. And Reid is standing in a pretty good place, right now, despite air bags like Rush Limbaugh who call him a Benedict Arnold.
