In shock, he stumbles back. "You're...kidding me, right? Is...is this a joke?" And yet as he looks at Stovati, and sees her face, he realizes that she doesn't joke. This is real. "No...you're a silverblood!" His voice rises, in panic. "You're a silverblood! You've always been a silverblood! You...you can't just turn into a blackblood! It just doesn't happen!" His wings droop, and Farhan's face holds none of his usual disgustingly cheerful happiness. The light is gone from his eyes, the sparkle that makes him who he is. His face is a mask of horror, and disbelief. Never before has he experienced these emotions. Anger, yes, but not this. Never this. Now he has.
