As he nears his companions, Farhan calls out cheerily, "Hey, is there any room for three?" He halts, now at last part of the group.

Extremely happy at the arrival of her friends, Almase exclaims, "Of COURSE there's room! The more the merrier!"

Bayda, looking over at Valkyrie, comments, �Hi Batal, hi Farhan! An introduction to your companion would be nice at this point.�

Valkyrie looks at the speaker. "She has a point, Batal. Somebody'd better do some introducing."

Batal nods, slightly sheepish, having forgotten this aspect. "Bayda, Almase, Dirayat, and I don't think you and Farhan have been introduced either, meet Valkyrie. Valkyrie, meet Farhan, Dirayat, Almase, and Bayda."

Dirayat cuts in: "Lovely. Now how about some plans? We can't just stay here, you know. Skajira just moved in next door. Not quite the friendliest neighbor, if you catch my drift."

"It's just temporary!" Almase assures Dirayat -- and everybody else. "And Batal, you don't know Daihatsu, River Heart, and Heaven's Blazes yet. Nor do they know you."

"Lovely!" Dirayat interrupts again, getting irritated. "I hope you realize that Safukir's claim on Sangre d' Cristo is *not* temporary, and that she's Skajira's half-sister! And I hope you ALSO realize that Skajira just challenged Devil May Cry for Advani -- right next door -- and holds the Devil's Throne, AND that we're almost boxed in! We've gotta get moving, folks, and preferably before his little kiddies grow up!"

Farhan, Almase, Bayda, Valkyrie and Batal are all silent, realizing that Dirayat's right.

Almase speaks, in a soft, frightened tone: "But then...our only option is to go through Sabteca."

Dirayat nods grimly. "That's right. Folks, we've been so occupied inside our own borders that we've forgotten to keep an eye on the enemy. Now the enemy has forced us into motion. How about we get a move on, and now rather than later?"
