We adopted a 6 mo. old female 9 years ago. Her breeder had become very ill and could not interact with her puppies. Abby our little girl was very shy of everyting. It took us a couple of years to win her over. It is a slow process, put it does happen. Today she is just a little shy with strangers and is very loving to us. We are hoping to adopt a paymate for Abby. She has never been shy with other dogs big or small. Just be very loving and patient with you crested it will work out someday. Just don't give up it's worth the work in the end.
