I would also moisturize with with either refined organic coconut oil or pure olive oil. This will help soften the skin & also bring deeper blackheads to the surface. Most likely this is due to years of improper hygiene and will just take some time to slough off.

You can also make up a sugar scrub to use. Mix up about 1/2C of brown sugar with 1/2C of olive oil and scrub with it. They love the way it feels. You will need to do a light wash down afterwards to get all the excess sugar & oil off.
