My crested has gotten exactly what you describe several times. It starts as a bump or scratch, and he will not stop licking it until it spreads out and looks like a giant ring of lighter colored skin, resembling ringworm. I assume it is an allergic reaction of some sort. What works for him is to apply a small amount of cortisone cream once a day and keep a shirt on him, to prevent licking, until it goes away, (this can take a few weeks!). If it is on the leg, you will need pajamas!Good luck!
