I also home cook for mine. They all get boiled ground beef mixed in with their Natural Balance kibble, along with Missing Link (except my epileptic boy...he can't tolerate the ML). I buy a farm grade ground beef and get 50 lbs for $21. It comes in either 5lb or 10lb tubes. I just cook up an entire tube & freeze. I will also boil chicken/turkey breasts. I avoid pork (other than a bite here or there) because of the nitrates (not good for epi dogs). I also buy fresh veggies (grean beans, yellow squash, zucchini, carrots, etc.) and steam them & add to their food. Adding steamed veggies is great, especially if you have one that is overweight. You can decrease their kibble & supplement with veggies to fill them up without all the extra calories.

Lisa, the chances of your dogs cathing any parasite or other illness from raw feeding are very small. Here's a link for you: http://rawfed.com/myths/ Those that are still worried about it generally freeze their raw meat prior to feeding which kills most parasites/bacteria.
