i have a JRT female who is almost 13. i have a Puff Female pup who is almost 9 months old, and i have a female puff i adopted who is a year and 8 months. They ALL get along great and even nap together in a big doggy bed. I think it is b/c my JRT is the alpha and the other 2 are laid back. All are spayed, of course. I think i would get another female any day over a male, just b/c of the marking issue, but our adopted female has had a few issues with potty training. and we have a doggy door. It's a day to day thing. She can go a few weeks with no problem, then she has an indoor accident. so i cannot say it's easier with a female, but the pee is LOWER to the ground.
