I tried to install Windows 2000 on my computer, but I never succeeded because the install program coudn't access the boot device. This is probably because I never got Windows 98 to recognize more than 1 gig of my 20 gig Quantum drive, which is the drive I boot off of. So I gave up. But then I had this really annoying option on boot up that let you choose between Windows 2000 setup and Win98. I was living with this until yesterday, when I replace the mother-board and processor and video card. But the first time that I booted up, I got the message "NTLDR is missing" I didn't even know what NTLDR was until a few minutes ago. So even though I never installed Win2000, I now have a Win2000 boot error. God I love Microsoft!
Any help you can give me to remove this annoying vestige of a failed Win2000 install?
Any help on the hard drive, also? It sure sucks to pay $200 for 1 gig. You'd think it was 1995.
