All I can tell you is that I had to take apart my laptop not too long ago because I spilled water on it and hand dry each piece. By all rights it should have not worked again, but it did. I have taken it apart 4 times now and had no problems. If you decive to do it yourself, good luck.

P.S. If I had the same kind of laptop, I would give you some hints. Sorry!
