Subject: my laptop won't recognize my modem card

 i bought a lan surfer 56k/100 pc card because i have cable service in my home but also plan to use my laptop else were that won't have the network the problem is i can get on the network but it will not recognize my modem when i hook up a phone line what should i do it installed itself in port 2 by the way
