hi ashot,
since i have the machine this far apart i may as well replace the cmos. i have not been able to locate a replacement yet... the batt. say panasonic 1220 on it. when i get the replacement i think i will solder some long wires to them and relocate the battery to a better location... like under the keyboard. later max
