What version of IE do you have on your machine. I myself have IE4.0 sp?? (though I use Netscape to browse). But I heard that such 'modem' problems could be related to IE problems since it's so generously integrated into the system. And users reported that these problems might(???) clear up with update to IE5.0, which is a kind of IE4 'release-version'. I'm not a big fan of 17M downloads so I'm wondering whether this problem really doesn't not occur with IE5?
