I would recommend running the learning procedure on your battery again. It should take between 8 and 20 hours. Did you ever try learning on your old battery that only holds 10 minutes worth of charge?
Removing your hard drive will not void the warranty, BUT the hard drive cover is pretty tricky to put back on. If it is not put back on correctly, it could cause the touchpad, keyboard & hard drive connector to come loose. On all Transmonde systems I would recommend removing the hard drive when sending it in for service, but on the Vibrant LS I would suggest you leave it installed unless you have some top secret information.
