I did do the learning procedure on the battery with no charge, it brought it to 100%, but, it decharged immediately and then wouldn't charge above 5%, just like before.

If I got someone that works on computers to take it out would it be ok to? It isn't that my stuff is top secret (well, some of it is kinda personal), I just dread having to deal with losing everything or retrieving everything from backup...

Trent, btw, I think you are so awesome to help us like you do. I really appreciate it:)
