Hi,
One of the reasons I got my Vivante XL was to use a couple of IR peripherals occasionally (Phone, Printer and Newton messagepad). However, I've never been able to get anything to acknowlege the laptop's presence.
I believe I've turned-on all the necessary settings in CMOS and installed the right bits of Windows 98. However, there's never been any indication of a connection at either end.
I'm going on memory, as my laptop's currently dead (like most everyone else's from what I can tell - I figured I wouldn't post another message on this subject), and I can't go through to get the actuall settings I've used.
Is it also the case that you can only ever select the modem and the IR port to be on the same serial device (i.e. you can't use both at the same time).

Thanks,

Roger
