 When I play a dvd on my Vibrant LS, I can display the output on a TV using the RCA tv-out port on the laptop. It works great.

However, let's say I want to simply display a video game or even just my desktop on that same tv. I am unable to do the same. All I get is a blank screen on the TV when the video is connected. It's as if the display from the laptop
never reaches the tv.

I've checked the Display/Advanced/CHIPS properties and
the "TV" option is not active. I.e, I can not check it.
I've changed my desktop resolution to 640x480x256c and it
still does not help.

I'm not sure if it's even possible. Could anyone tell
me if they are able to display their desktop or any non-dvd output to a television screen (not monitor) using the rca tv-out port?.

I'd prefer not to have to purchase a VGA-to-RCA converter
to do this.
