Hi All!

As it turns out, replacing the RAM solved my instant reboot problem. I had 64mb sodimm which, on a hunch, I decided to swap out for two new 64mb pieces. Presto! My Vivante SE is the solid workhorse I've come to know and love. I'm keeping the Win95 that came with it fo now, but if I decide to trade up to Win2k or something else, I'll probably switch to 256mb RAM.

The screen flickers every now and then, but jiggling the contrast knob on the right side of the screen or squeezing that area pretty much handles it.

As for the adapter, I still need to twist the connector to get it going, but it generally stays that way once I've got it.

Would fixing the solder joint handle the 'loose connector' problem?
