Which model do you have?? A half light bulb could be as simple as removing your DIMM (RAM), cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser, and re-installing. If you only have one DIMM, try installing it into the other slot/socket.

Have you tried re-seating the keyboard? Access is different depending on which model you have.
