Hi Guys,

I'm having USB problems with USB Direct Connect networking
cable.

I have Transmonde Vivante SE & a Sony N505VE.
The Sony passes the USB diagnostic check by Intel, but
the V/SE doesn't even see the USB device. Both computers
report that the USB bridge device is "working properly"
in the device manager display of the control panel.

The s/w for the transfer utility reports the transmonde
goes live for a second or so, but then shuts down (double
red status lights). The Sony windows stay open, but the
remote computer's files aren't visible.

Any else have a USB patch for USB on the Transmonde?
Are all of the USB Network cable prety much the same?

The V/SE is about a year old & has W/98 1'st on it.
The Sony is about 2 mo. old & has W/98 2nd on it. Would
upgrading to 2nd edition help the Transmonde?

Any other diagnostice tests? I don't have many USB
devices.
