I am using 98 and I tried the drive on another computer with no success... I really believe this was a fault of the drive, and I sent it back. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't the computer since I was thinking of trying to repair the AC adaptor.

I still wonder if there is anything that could be done if I sent it back, or anything permananent I apperciate your suggestions and will try them if all else fails. But, I am convinced there is something I can do it actually fix it for good.
