My retiree father is having a problem with his Transmonde Vibrant LS laptop on the road. (I am familiar with PC's hardware but not laptop problems). Here is what he related to me via telephone:

The laptop battery had gone dead, about the time he was saving a file. The next time he started the computer after he had charged the battery, he got the message "Restoring Configuration From Disk". Then a little later he gets the message "Suspend to Disk Process" and at this point the machine just seems to hang indefinitely. All the text is white against a black background. He also mentioned some text that said Pentium Celeron 300 too. When he turns the computer off he gets the message "Saving Configuration To Disk".

Can anyone help me describe to him how to get out of this "suspend" mode? Or what is going on?
