Wrong. Try as I may, I can't see anything "beautiful" about a flame war.

If both Andrew and Trent are willing to help, then why not be grateful to both?

As a precondition to accepting help, I should not have to take a side and say, "I think Transmonde notebooks are high quality," or "Transmonde notebooks are low quality." Obviously those are very relative statements. No doubt each opinion can find plenty of supporting facts. For example, Portable Computing gave a thumbs-up, but Ziff-Davis (zdnet) thumbs-down on Transmondes.

If I just want to know (actually I _do_ want to know) why my battery won't charge, I shouldn't be required either to take a Transmonde loyalty oath, or to join in trashing them.
