Cathrina first attends to Ashlee, a customer, and holds her index finger up to Aurora in an apologetic 'one minute' gesture. Casting a knowing glance down to the young girl's bundle of money, she whips up a soy shake on the other side of the counter.
[I'm going to be a kind woman today and give it to you on the house, because you're keeping Kehd quiet.]
She gives an admiring glance to the handsome ebon bird, and a thoughtful smile curves her lips. She then hands the large glass over, brimming with the shake, and turns to face both Aurora and Ashlee.
[Alright you two, here's what I'll do. Aurora, you can be a waitress. Fiona though, is the 'head' waitress somewhat. She'll take over if I'm not available. And you Ashlee, sing me a bar of a song.. hm.. which one? I myself am a true follower of Dave Matthews, King of Coffee-house singers, but I don't know if a girl can really pull him off. What if you do a bit of Vanessa Carlton? I've heard some of her music before and find it quite suitable for my place.]
She looks over both females, eyes wandering over their forms in critical observation. They would do.
Suddenly, a bang and a hiss is heard from behind the large, metal, diner-style door behind the counter. Cathrina's eyes furrow as she glances back quickly.
[I'll be.. right back.. wait here.]
Cathrina, skirt swishing, slips behind the door.
