well i remember the day that Brian Caddy made his long awaited debut in the a grade side....he'd played reserves for years and was a good player but had been overlooked for a long time Well the day arrived and we were playing east torrens i think....and we were a ruthlessly diciplined team so Brian didnt get a run for a long time in the match. Finally he got to go on late in the game and the ball came his way....we needed possesion badly ....he was all by himself right by the sub bench.....he picked up the ball...he went to throw it as a player came thundering towards him (probably Frank Carbone....)...and DROPPED IT.....he still had time though.....he picked the ball up again.....cool calm no mistake this time...and DROPPED IT AGAIN.... the sub bench was groaning.....he picked it up again in a panic got it in his stick and saw Carbone thundering towards him this time the pressure was on he dodged he weaved and he ....DROPPED IT AGAIN.....and we lost the ball......Brian came off the field in shock....to wait for his next chance to impress and had a look at his stick to find a huge hole in it where the ball was falling through......what a time to have equipment failure....
