Ok, this is weird - for the last few days, I've gotten these strange messages whenever I try and access certain fics -
Your Websense policy blocks this page at all times.
and this is the URl my browser gets directed to -
http://164.100.193.43:15871/cgi-bin/blockpage.cgi?ws-session=3305171293

Anyone have any idea what this websense thingie is, and why it's stopping me from reading Rachel Anton's 'A Poor Captain', or accessing Clauda D. Christenson's Cruel Obsessions site....?

I haven't installed any program like that, so I have no idea what this is..

Hey Deepa,
Websense is an internet filtering program used by employers to monitor and restrict employees internet access. Are you surfing at work? If so, big brother is watching. It is also used by some schools and ISPs to control and track user activites. If you are surfing at home, it may be that your ISP has started using it without telling you. Sorry not to be more helpful,

in fact, i'm surfing from home, so i guess i'll have to check with my ISP, but it is highly bizarre that they would have installed something like this without informing us! Especially in INdia, where everyone is too lazy to think of censorship!
sigh. i shall have to fight for my right to smut. my parents will be so happy.
