The problem is that these people that were there on Saturday unfortunately double as some of the more violent parts of SCFC support (probably some correlation between fighting ability and lack of brain cells). All very well saying "Stand up to them", but if you do the odds are you'll probably suffer for it - as people have in the past ... and to be honest I aint no martyr.

As for a tacit approval - nowt could be further from the truth. Hence the recent press releases and promises (which I'll believe when I see) to clamp down on anyone seen distributing any literature at the Vetch. As for whether the fans are giving some sort of approval - I take exception to that!

The thing is, that while there has always been this very small element (as many clubs do unfortunately including your mob, and you're deluding yourself if you think that isnt the case), just recently it's become more vocal. Hopefully these scum will be dealt with quickly.

I am not saying Cardiff is a wonderful place with no problems, you will notice I said "people get on with it for the most part", I stand by my statement that Cardiff is more racially/culturally integrated than the West and the Valleys, something I notice nobody has tried to deny. I am glad to hear Swansea is doing something to rid itself of the BNP at your games, but tell me, why do they seek support among the Swansea crowd and not the Cardiff crowd? -- CB, 14:20:57 20/03/01 Tue
- I don't know that they haven't. Do you? As for this tolerance/integrated thing - the two are seperate things entirely. More integrated in the east? Quite possibly. More tolerant? Doubtful. While being sure it exists, I can't remember seeing or for that matter reading any reports of racially-motivated crimes in Swansea.
