... and requesting a boycott of R&R by the entire DB on my behalf "led the charge" and was followed by an awesome display of the comaraderie that abounds within the confines of this bar. Again, I thank you ALL. Who among us would not cherish such a show of support -- cyber or otherwise?? In that respect, the week-long ban was a complete gift to me. I must say, though, that the effect on R&R was to induce a near coma-like state on the board due to the lack of the pithy posts full of wit and intelligence that are hallmark of DB posters to that board. I was merely the "Betty Grable pin-up" to the mighty arm of truth and justice that all of the rest of you represent in your great writings. I'm sure I'll continue to be a lightning rod for the jibes of the right-wing knee-jerk robots at the R&R. I'll tell you, SM, just like I "pick my battles" over there and respond only to things which have a real resonance for me, I appreciate that the rest of you do the same and that all the bases get covered by voices of reason. If you stay with your current decision to desist from speaking out against the insanity that is attempting to be passed as fact at R&R, I'll certainly respect your stance and you. But I'll miss reading all of your passionate posts. You say a lot that is very much worthy of being said ... and you say with your own inimitable style. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you relent and decide to at least dabble a bit there. Nevertheless, you'll still find me here at the bar as a regular ... because this is place keeps such a fresh welcome mat outside the door that it just attracts the best array of folks, you know.
