Subject: What makes me a jaded hipster?

Miss Betsy, I am 91 years of age. I was already 35 years old and charging Hilter's bunker when that skinny young punk Frank Sinatra was back stateside crooning instead of getting his ass shot off in WWII like everyone else. Why, that prettyboy wanted to act tough, but he wasn't tough until I taught him how to be in the 1950's when I began to work as his personal bodyguard. Let me tell you, I taught Frank Sinatra how to be a jaded hipster, and I also taught Dino and Sammy and the rest of the Rat Pack how to be truly jaded.

It all begins with the swagger and the "I've seen it all" look in the eye. And believe me, once you've stared at the charred corpse of Hitler in the smoking twilight of WWII -- as I have -- you can say you've pretty much seen it all.

The B-17's were roaring over Berlin that day as I stood with the Russians and claimed Berlin for the Allies. I stood there with Russians and we smoked Marloboro's and drank French champagne we had liberated from the fuhrerbunker. The music of Benny Goodman was playing on a hand-cranked Victrola mounted to the back of my jeep.
If all that doesn't make me goddamned jaded and hip, then I don't know what you people call jaded or hip.
