One other point, I don't think Harriet is that cluless, and especially in that scene. I don't really know about Mac's civies. I don't usually like them. But then I'm from the more laid back yet preppy B.C. /Pacific NorthWest. The styles maybe different. I have always had a different take on two scenes. First, I always felt taht Mic gave Chole a sip of champane for the same reason I was given on at her age. Knowing full well she WON"T like it.
