The beginning of this episode has, IMO, one of Harm's top ten great lines of the entire JAG series: "If you need me there (at your wedding), to make it work for you, maybe you should reconsider who you're marrying." Man, it all comes out in that line - his desire for her & his dispair. Such a true & from the heart statement!

Also, I never appreciated before the jumping back & forth scenes with Harm flying quals & Mic & Mac's wedding rehearsal while viewers hear, not dialogue, but Frank Sinatra singing "Come Fly With Me." I always thought the scenes were choppy, but then I realized the symbolism in the song was tying the scenes together. The song is the perfect fit for a Harm & Mac wedding, talking about lovers flying off together to exotic worlds -- but Harm & Mac are not together. So the song represents the bittersweet "what should be" rather than what's actually taking place.

  • Fan Favorite Episode---->THE TOP 12 continued. . .7. Adrift part 1 (Season 6 , Episode # 134, Production # 134). . .Inside -- CharS, 23:01:56 04/25/05 Mon
  • Adrift is also one of my faves because it just reached in and tore my heart from my chest at the end. I was so emotionally distraught over Harm's situation, even tho I knew he'd be rescued. The cockpit chatter was the most realistic we'd ever seen and I was biting my nails as they were preparing to eject. We went from the glorious high of Harm making his quals to the strains of Frank Sinatra, to the horrendous depths of Harm's dangerous predicament. What a ride. I still get queasy when I think about it. (NT) -- The Chief (didn't vote for this one, but knew I wouldn't have to), 22:55:00 04/26/05 Tue
