Subject: Episode of the Week- Lifeline. . .Inside

This week’s EOTW is Season 6’s Lifeline. An incredible directorial debut for DJE and the episode that immortalized the Admiral’s porch.

Here are several questions to encourage your comments about this episode. You can answer any of these if you wish, or, if you prefer, just share your thoughts and take the discussion into other directions.

1) Our rating scale seems to be popular, so we’ll continue it - on a scale of 0 to 5, with 5 being great, how would you rate this episode and why?

2) What relevance, if any, does the “teaser” (H&M’s dialogue in the courtroom about relationships) have to the episode?

3) Why was it important at that time for Mac to know why Harm backed away in Sydney?

4) Mac says that if Harm hadn’t backed away, maybe she would be having an engagement party. If TPTB had brought them together in Sydney, would their relationship worked? Would it have survived?

5) Why did Mac say to Harm that Renee is good for him?

6) According to Mac, Harm makes simple things too complicated, while Harm says that Mac makes complicated things too simple. Do you believe that’s true? Why or why not?

7) Harm says what he wants most is to never lose her. And Mac promises no matter what, he never will. Question: Did she keep that promise? Did he ever lose her at any point in the series?

8) Harm says that Mac was supposed to wait as long as it takes. What did he mean by that line? As long as what takes?

Lifeline. . .definitely unforgettable. . . . .Please post your thoughts.
