Well. Hmmm. DPB certainly knows how to read the "polls" that were a hot topic on the spoiler board recently. SEX SELLS. Yup. But not REAL sex, just "sexiness", and then that only on the part of the female leads. I KNEW as soon as I we saw 30 seconds of Mac from the waist down as she's packing her seabag, that we will NEVER get to see that much of that half of Harm. Nope. Sorry Ladies. You'll just have to catch Harm's alter ego in those Triathalon pics to get anywhere close.

Okay, got my cynical rant out of my system. There could be more, but I won't bore you with it.

What about that new opener!!! Not bad at all! Good integration of last year's eps, but liked how they include some of the old stand-bys. The "money shot" of Harm getting out of the car on the dock next to the USS Hornet is still such an awesome view of him.

Overall, good ep, for what they had to do. I don't usually watch medical dramas - not my thing - but I was pretty impressed with all the medical "chatter" in the operating room. And the way the doc/surgeon was a real no-nonsense lady. To wit: "Shut up and sew." Aye-aye!

Liked the H&M stuff. Much better than it had been in the past. Seemed as if they were much more relaxed and casual with each other. When Harm ripped her books in half, that was CLASSIC! LOL!

Oh, don't think I missed the "I can help you with that" line. I can think of MANY things he can help ME with! Dressing included! LOL! I also didn't miss that when she opened the door to him, he was actually telling the truth about helping her dress because he handed her the white vest they wear on the transport helo's.

I thought the scenes with the Admiral were excellent, and I think I may have guessed that the SecNav was the one who's "head will roll" when all the speculation was going on about that. I DON'T like how Singer has become the new Krennick (w/o the Harm-chasing, thank goodness) in that she's right there w/ the Adm. all the time. But w/ Harm, Mac, Bud and Sturgis in the Med, there weren't too many left to keep AJ company.

Speaking of AJs, did anyone else think the "psychic baby" plot device was a little much???? Hmm . . . Why does DPB keep going for that angle when someone needs saving?? First it was Mac for Chloe and Harm, now Little AJ for Daddy Bud. Is he trying to say that there is a Higher Power at work?? If so, the psychic angle is not the way to go, IMO. He'd be better off with Monica and Tess. The boy who plays little AJ is CUTE tho. Looks just like Bud, but with Harriet's hair color. Perfect choice.

What did you all think of the "flashbacks" that each character had about Bud?? I was wondering which scene they would use for Harm, and was a little disappointed. I would have preferred they use the one where Bud stands by Harm while he's trying to get that info about Harm, Sr and is hiding out on that ship and Bud tells him he's not going to desert Harm b/c they're friends. (boy, what a run-on sentence! LOL!) Anyway, as the flashback faded out and Mac's face faded in I realized they were using that scene for BOTH of them, and it WAS the scene where they all sort of "met", so I was okay w/ it. Guess they didn't have time to squeeze in separate one's for each of M & H.

When PO Coates decided that she was going to be sick, it made me think: She's pregnant, it's Bud's. Now THAT would be a little OUT THERE even for DPB, but with the wild and crazy speculations that go on here, I guess you all have me trained to think the worst! LOL!

Well, I'm taking up extra space tonight. I am just so glad the season has finally started!!! WHEW! Next week looks excellet too!
